This Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy describes how TrustVCC prevents the Service from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing and other unlawful activity, and what checks we may carry out.
1. Our commitments
We are committed to preventing the Service from being used to launder criminally obtained proceeds or to finance unlawful activity, and we act in accordance with applicable anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing standards.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to all users of the Service and to all balance top-ups, card issuances, transfers of funds and related operations carried out through the Service.
3. Risk-based approach
We apply a risk-based approach, concentrating checks and controls on higher-risk operations, taking into account factors such as the size and frequency of transactions, their nature and other indicators of possible abuse.
4. Customer identification (KYC)
In its basic mode the Service is available with minimal credentials; identity verification (KYC), however, becomes mandatory once cumulative top-ups reach 5,000 USD. In addition, we may request further verification for large, atypical or higher-risk operations, or where legal obligations require it. Until satisfactory verification is provided, we may refuse to carry out an operation.
5. Source of funds
The Balance is topped up in USDT on the TRON network (TRC-20). We may request information about the source of funds, and we may decline, delay or return transactions where the source cannot reasonably be established or where the operation appears inconsistent with lawful use of the Service.
6. Transaction monitoring
We monitor for indicators of suspicious behaviour, including the splitting of amounts (structuring), atypical operation patterns and transactions connected with high-risk or sanctioned persons, and we keep logs of the relevant activity in order to support such monitoring.
7. Sanctions and prohibited persons
The Service may not be used by persons and organisations included in applicable sanctions lists or to whom the provision of such services is otherwise prohibited. We may carry out the relevant screening and refuse service.
8. Prohibited use
Using the Service to launder funds, to facilitate fraud or to conceal the origin of assets is strictly prohibited and results in refusal of service and, in appropriate cases, in reporting to the competent authorities.
9. Account restrictions and measures
Where a breach of this Policy, or indicators of fraud or other unlawful activity, are identified, we may delay, decline or cancel operations, freeze or restrict a Card or a balance, and suspend or close the account concerned. In particular, withdrawal of funds from the Balance to an external USDT address is carried out following manual review.
10. Record keeping and cooperation
We keep records relating to accounts and operations for the period required by applicable law and cooperate with the competent authorities within the scope of their lawful requests.
